General Course Sequences

Full time students at the Career and Technical High School adhere to the same graduation requirements as any student in the state of New Jersey, as furnished by the Department of Education. 

In addition to meeting the graduation requirements of academics, students follow a designated sequence of courses in their career and technical or academy program, a general sequence of courses is scheduled by the high school.

9th Grade:

• Career and Technical Education course (10 credits)

• English 9 or Honors English 9

• Geometry or Honors Geometry

• Environmental Science or Honors Biology

• Physical Education/Health 9

• World History or Honors World History

• Freshmen Seminar or Spanish I

10th Grade:

• Career and Technical Education course (10 credits)

• English 10 or Honors English 10

• Algebra I or Honors Algebra I

• Biology or College Biology

• Physical Education/Health 10

• US History I or Honors US History I

• Spanish I or Work Based Learning

11th Grade:

• Career and Technical Education course (10 credits)

• English 11 or Honors English 11

• Algebra II or Honors Algebra II or Honors Pre-Calculus

• Chemistry or College Chemistry

• Physical Education/Health 11

• US History II or Honors US History II

• Spanish II or Work Based Learning

12th Grade:

• Career and Technical Education course (10 credits)

• English 12 or Honors English 12

• Physical Education/Health 12
