8th Grade Accelerated English 

Summer Project

You are required to read a novel of your choice over the summer and come prepared to write a literary analysis essay relating to your reading.  The essay prompt will be given on the first day of school.  You must be able to access your book (in physical or electronic form) when the school year begins. Lack of participation and/or inability to appropriately respond to questions regarding the summer reading may result in being removed from Accelerated English.

If you are unable to access a book on your own, you can access one electronically through sources such as Sora or Hoopla, or you can borrow something from the library.

You may read a book of your own choosing, but it must be appropriate for your grade and reading level!
