Originally from the Northeast, my family and I moved to Santa Clara 10 years ago. I have over 20 years teaching experience in public schools, working organic farms, non-profit nature based organizations, and college campuses. I received my B. S. in Environmental Studies from University of Vermont and M.Sc Ed. from Florida State University. When I am not working, I like to explore different ecosystems with friends and family...that's if I am not in a gym cheering on my kids playing basketball.

Check out Bay Area Bountiful where the SCUSD Farm and Osborne Nature Area are featured in season 7 episode 4. Some of the Environmental Leadership students talk about the importance of farm to school connections, how they learn about nature, and the positive impact that learning outside is on their well-being as well as their understanding of content that they learn in their classrooms.
