My name is Aldea Joanne Ambrosio, and I’m a visual artist who began exploring the art of cinematography. Although I’m only in high school, I’ve developed a deep understanding of films, I’m continuing to practice by tackling different challenges and thinking of new creative ideas. I look forward to creating my own film one day for the world to enjoy. My family moved to the Bay Area from the Philippines when I was 7. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve spent a lot of time with movies, more specifically romantic-comedy. I’ve been obsessed with romantic comedy for as long as I can remember, I think that’s what makes me the delusional, empathetic, lover girl I am today. I love to get my inspiration from my favorite movies, music, books, and my own experiences in general. Growing up, I was taught that living life is all about perspective, so I want to create films that present a different perspective on our existence and also capture emotions we can’t quite put into words. As the lover girl I am, I’ve always found the magic in overlooked places, from the marble on my shower walls to the flower aisle in the grocery store. I want others to see that life is worth living if you look hard enough. You can find my work here, on my website "Aldea's Art"
