Growing up, I was always fascinated with fashion. At 6, I'd transform cardboard boxes into wearable art, cutting and taping them to fit and decorating them with drawings. This childhood passion for dress-up evolved into admiration for designers on shows like 'Project Runway' and 'Next in Fashion.' In high school, I discovered Fashion 1, it has given me the tools and space to give life to all my ideas. Although it introduced me to my perfectionistic tendencies, it's been a safe space to experiment, learn from mistakes, and grow. As someone who's always challenged traditional fashion norms – even advocating against uniforms in 5th grade – I'm driven to create clothes that reflect my personality and values. With the environmental impact of fast fashion in mind, I'm eager to develop skills in making my own clothes that are both stylish and sustainable. You can explore my designs and artistic expressions on my website, AJ's Art.
