Future Goals

My goal is to become a High School counselor in my community. I want to be able to support LatinX and ChicanX community as well as all other students and communities that cross my path. I want to help create a bridge from high school to higher education that makes the process less intimidating.

Favorite Thing About Being a Mentor

Helping others had been my passion since I was a kid. The feeling I get when a student has met their goal is what drives me to be a mentor. I know that the hurdles that students may be facing and struggles that may hold them back can be daunting to students. As a mentor they become challenges I want to take on with my students. My favorite thing about being a mentor is hearing that a student has accomplished their goals, surpassed their challenges and is proud of themselves above all else.
