TRANSITION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (TPP)
The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) is a vocational education and work placement program partnered with Department of Rehabilitation & Sacramento City Unified School District. TPP provides secondary students with disabilities pre-employment skills through the 5 DOR student services model. Students enrolled can choose up to 5 pre-employment student services for their individual plans. Services offered are: Job Exploration, Work Readiness Training, Work-Based Learning, Self-Advocacy & Post-Secondary Education. TPP will provide enhanced services until the student completes participation and gains proficiency according to the students’ individual plan. At that time students will have successfully completed the TPP program. Services may be offered through community based instruction, work-site training classroom workshops and individual meetings. Students who have gained the work skills & are ready for the work force may apply for more enhanced vocational employment services. This process requires completion of another application to become a DOR client.
*Please note the TPP program is contracted for a limited amount of students per year.
