Requirements

Each university will have its own requirements to apply. Here are the various university sets and their requirements are for first-year student admission.

California Community College

  1. Have a high school diploma, GED, equivalent degree OR be 18 years-old

California State University

  1. Have a "C" or higher in all 15 minimum A-G classes (A-G courses explained below)

  2. Have a 2.5 GPA or higher

      1. Students with a 2.0 GPA may still apply and will be considered for admission based off additional factors:

        1. Completion of A-G courses beyond the minimum

        2. Low-income background

        3. First-generation college status

        4. Work experience

        5. Participation in college advocacy programs

        6. Extracurricular participation and leadership

University of California

  1. Have a "C" or higher in all 15 minimum A-G classes (A-G courses explained below)

  2. Have at least a 3.0 GPA or higher

  3. Complete 4 Personal Insight Questions (PIQ) out of 8 prompts.
