Mr. Batkin has been working at KCIA since before it was KCIA.

He received his teaching credential in History from CSUS now Sacramento State University in 1996.

He started teaching History and English at Kit Carson Middle School in 2001. The world of Kit Carson has changed a bit since then.

Today he teaches History of the Americas (11th and 12th grade) and Individuals and Societies year 2 here at Kit Carson International Academy.

Beyond teaching his interests include: volleyball, playing video games, cooking, classic music (if you count the 80's as classic).

He is also the advisor for the AV club here at KCIA.
