When you apply to a UC using your CaliforniaColleges.edu account, you can import your A-G high school class schedule and you won't have to manually enter four years of classes. Application Period: October 1st to November 30th

The University of California (UC) application is the online platform used by students to apply to any of the nine undergraduate UC campuses. These campuses include UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz.

Here are some key features of the UC application:

1. Application Process:

   • Students can apply to multiple UC campuses through one application.

   • The application is typically open for submission from November 1 to November 30.

   • No letters of recommendation or interviews are generally required (except in some special circumstances).

2. Personal Insight Questions (PIQs):

   • Students must answer 4 out of 8 personal insight questions.

   • These essays help students showcase their personal achievements, background, and how they’ve overcome challenges.

3. Academic History:

   • Applicants report their high school courses and grades. UC campuses consider courses taken in grades 10 and 11, along with senior year course choices.

4. Test-Free Policy:

   • As of recent years, UC schools no longer consider SAT or ACT scores in admissions decisions, although students can report them for placement purposes.

5. Activities and Awards:

   • Applicants can list extracurricular activities, leadership roles, awards, and honors.

6. Application Fee:

   • There is a fee for each campus applied to, but fee waivers are available for eligible students.

7. Holistic Review:

   • The UC system uses a comprehensive review process, considering both academic and non-academic factors such as leadership, special talents, or community service.
