Every now and then we all need a little bit of help.  And especially in the time of COVID-19, we must band together for support.  

If your family is in need of food, clothing, assistance with utilities or internet service, we can help you!  Below are a few links to partners and programs that we work with, to get you started.  There are additional programs available - please contact us for more help!

Food

• Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services offers food distribution at dozens of sites throughout our community.  Click here to find free food near you.

• 211 Sacramento can also help locate additional food distribution sites.  Dial 211 from any phone.

• Pandemic Relief:  Click here to apply for the P-EBT card if you have not received one.

Clothing & Household Items

• Outside the Walls Community Closet offers free clothing and household items (including furniture as available) by appointment only.  Call 916-287-1293 to schedule an appointment.

• 211 Sacramento can also help locate additional clothing and household items.  Dial 211 from any phone.

Utilities and Internet

• Sac City KidsConnect is offering six months of free Comcast internet to all SCUSD families.  Click here to fill out the request form, or call us at (916) 826-3050 for assistance.

• The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) offers one-time assistance in paying a utility bill.  Click here for more information.

Housing & Shelter

More than ever in Sacramento, families are struggling to find and keep affordable housing.

We can assist families who are experiencing homelessness in two ways:

1. We can connect you with the agencies that are helping get families in homes; and 

2. We can connect you with our District's Homeless Services Coordinator, Monica.  Monica and her team can provide you with important information on your students' rights, as well as information on available community resources.
