QUESTION: Does my child need an excuse for SCTC when absent?
ANSWER: Yes. If your child is absent, they'll need an excuse for their sending school AND an excuse for SCTC. Some sending schools are good about either faxing the child's excuse, which is acceptable, or making a copy of the excuse for the student to bring to SCTC, which is also acceptable. If you need an excuse form for SCTC, you can find them here.
QUESTION: Does my child have to ride the school bus or can they drive?
ANSWER: Students can get a driving permit, either a 1 day pass, or a school year permit. The 1 day pass is good for people when they are taking the NOCTI, or going on a field trip. The school year permit is good for someone who is on co-op and/or leaves SCTC to go to/from work. This is also really good for students in clubs like Bots, or Cosmo students that spend a lot of time at SCTC after regular school hours.
QUESTION: Will my child have any place to keep their backpack, lunch, school books etc., that no one can get in to?
ANSWER: Yes. At the beginning of the school year, your child will be assigned a locker and a school issued lock. If your child loses the lock, it will be a cost of $6.00 to replace the lock. No personal locks are allowed and the student must use the school issued locks.

ANSWER: SkillsUSA is a student organization partnering with schools, students, teachers, community and industry to make certain that employers are able to hire qualified students ready for the work-field on day 1. Students can compete in various Leadership contests and also contests devoted to their CTE class competing at local, district, state and national levels.
