If you're SERIOUS about learning to code, use your Google account or other personal email account to sign up for Codecademy. You can choose to learn many things there, but I strongly recommend you start with HTML and then move on to JavaScript. Their instruction is great and you will have really accomplished something if you pass a course.

Monkeytype - a simple tool for practicing your typing and building speed
