Hi, I'm Gloria,
Hi, I'm Gloria,
I am an empathetic technology researcher seeking to give voices to the underserved and marginalized by asking questions like:
how can technology impact positive human emotions while reducing systematic racism and barriers to equity and
how can technology build lasting social impact through requiring persons to feel empathy...not just look away?
I currently am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Howard University in Washington, DC. I run the Affective Biometrics Lab with my bright students and Research Scientists, Dr. Lucretia Williams, Dr. Jaye Nias, Dr. Jazette Johnson, and Dr. Saurav Aryal. Check out our cool projects! Also, if you have time, take a listen to my National Geographic Interview on AI Bias.
