Welcome to Cuboree 2026

As Camp Chief and also Chief Commissioner of Scouts ACT, I am delighted to have you all at the 2026 Cuboree.

Cuboree is an event that has been enjoyed by Cubs in the ACT for almost 40 years. It is often a highlight of a youth members’ Cub career and it is also an event that inspires younger members to stay in Scouting for years into the future. The 2026 event will draw on all of the great Scouting traditions plus put a modern- day interpretation on how things could be done. You might even see some Jamboree  type of activity organization in the way the event is planned. This is deliberate as we encourage our youth members to go further with their Scouting.

At Cuboree 2026 we welcome our ACT leaders and youth members plus we are delighted to have leaders and youth from all over NSW plus we have some from Queensland as well. Events such as a Cuboree are great events to discuss Scouting and to swap Program ideas, please take the time to say hello to as many people as you can and talk over a coffee or cool drink.

At part of Cuboree 2026 you will travel in and around many iconic parts of Canberra. You will visit Questacon which is a standout attraction for both adults and youth of all ages. You may also visit Floriade which is the most attended festival in Canberra. Although it might be based around flowers, you will find there is so much more there. You will also visit one of our spectacular lakes plus see some of the bushland that as Australia's Bush Capital we love so much. I hope you take the time to enjoy the things we have included in Cuboree and remember that it's not about doing everything all by yourself.
