WHAT IS STZ? WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Scouting the Zoo is the most unqique experience you can find anywhere in the midwest to take your Cubs, Scouts, or Venturers! Scouting the Zoo was developed by a volunteer to promote Scouting to the public at the Milwaukee County Zoo!
1500 Scouters flood the the Milwaukee County Zoo every spring, setting up tents, making food, and spending the weekend in the zoo making memories to last a life time!
All Units that come to Scouting the Zoo are required to put on a "Unit Display" that will teach the public about a different aspect of Scouting! These are booths that the public can come and interact with so they need to be things that are safe and Scouting related that small kids (ages 4 and up) can participate in!
Throughout the weekend, including Saturday; when your Scouts aren't cooking, exploring the zoo, staffing your Unit Display. There are so many activities that are being put on for Scouts by Scouts and volunteers that will show case to the public why they should join Scouting!
