Lesson: Alberti’s on Painting, and Art history images. Set up the Hokusai Cats
Agenda: Prepare the homework together: Hokusai Cats with notes in the sketchbook. Glue in the Alberti Dedications. Read and discuss the meaning of the introductions. Draw with me on newsprint: rings. Discuss the homework.

Agenda: Students will lay out a 4x6 grid of 3” squares on a 12”x18” paper. Use a view-finder and graphite and begin laying out the main contours of the cow skull.

Agenda: Project work day. Students will continue to work on the cow skull drawing. Adjust proportions and details, no values or textures.
