My first step in my Technology Integration Strategy Application would be to consider what the students' needs and abilities are. This includes the students' ages and academic level. The next step is to consider the means of learning. How can the technology be used in the classroom? If it can't be adapted into the classroom, then it can’t be used. Next would be to identify three elements of TPACK: pedagogy, content and technology. Content knowledge has knowledge about the subject matter being taught. Pedagogical Knowledge has knowledge of teaching methods. Technological Knowledge has knowledge about technology and non digital technologies. Then I would use UDL guidelines to determine a plan. Representation by providing the same information through different modalities. Action and Expression by providing options for action and expression. Engagement by providing multiple options for engagement is essential. Next I would determine that the students are using the technology correctly. Lastly, I would use the SAMR model to make adjustments. Substitution by replacing traditional activities and materials. Augmentation, this level involves incorporating interactive digital enhancements and elements. Modification for teachers to think about using a learning management system like Google Classroom. Redefinition is learning fundamentally transformed at this level, enabling activities that were previously impossible in the classroom.
