Library Media Specialist
Hi! My name is Laura McNutt and I am the library media specialist here at Collins Intermediate. This is my 13th year teaching and year 7 in the library. I love helping students find the perfect book and incorporating fun technology during our monthly library times.
I graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2005. After graduation, I attended Northeast Alabama Community College and Athens State University where I received a bachelors degree in elementary education. In 2013, I earned my master's degree in library media science from West Alabama University.
I am married to Jonathan McNutt. He also works for Scottsboro City Schools as a bus driver and PE teacher at Caldwell Elementary. We have two children, John Reed (7) and Ellie (3). My family attends church at First Baptist Church. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, and supporting our Scottsboro Wildcats and the Auburn Tigers! Go Wildcats! War Eagle!
Library Media Assistant
The library has been Mrs. Gann's home for her for the past 6 years. Mrs. Gann believes that reading is one of the most important things taught to children. Reading ignites the imaginations of all and gives each person the power of knowledge. Mrs. Gann tries to bring creative ideas and activities to the library. Whether it be makerspace activities, book displays, or classroom activities she hopes students enjoy her creative spin.
Tammy Gann has been with the Scottsboro City School System for 25 years. Originally from Scottsboro, she currently lives in Dutton, Al. with her husband, Michael Gann. She loves a hot cup of coffee with a good book on a cold day and a glass of ice tea and a good book on hot days. Music, cooking, arts and crafts are high on her lists of favorite things!
