Stuart is a therapist who has worked professionally in the field since 1993, and is the senior partner of Scotlandtherapy Partners (our umbrella organisation and trading name).
Stuart has worked in the therapy industry since 1993 and has cross trained in a wide range of analysis, psychological therapy, complementary therapy and mind-body therapy systems. His main interests are Integrating forms of Analysis around philosophical models, and providing specialist clinical care in the fields of Complex Trauma and Trauma- Neuro-divergence comorbidity. However in Brief Stuart has Bachelor Degrees in Business & IT, Philosophy & Psychology and Psychology & Politics (Open Degree). He has a Masters (MSc) in Psychology specialising in Identity, Neurology and Phenomonology. He has an underpinning externally accredited Diploma in Analysis, Clinical Hypnosis & Stress Management, and Level 7 (post grad level) vocational awards in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Child Development Psychology (ABA) and Complex Trauma Treatment in Individuals. He has completed Advanced Clinical Trauma Specialist Training with several leading Trauma Organisations, and has trained with leading experts including Bessel Van Der Kolk, Peter Levine, Gabor Mate, Janina Fischer and many more. He has also completed Clinical Specialist Certification in related areas of Depression, Mood Disorders, Advanced Grief Therapy, Neuro_Divergence/Diversity therapy, Integrated Mental Health Therapy, Nutrition for Mental Health, Clinical Mindfulness and Anger Management. He has completed competency certification or higher in a wide range of therapy models including CBASP, DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, TIST, Somatic Therapy, IFS, Brainspotting, NLP, CBT, EFT, to name just a few.
Stuart's guiding methods are existential (philosophy based) underpinned with science (neuroscience, neurology, neuropsychoanalysis, polyvagal theory & Interpersonal Neurobiology), all of which he has studied with leading experts and or academics.
Stuart currently (2026) continues to complete university level training in related and relevant subjects at a number of institutions including the Open University, Cambridge University PACE and Oxford University OLL.
Stuart maintains multiple professional memberships (see biography) at full, fellow or senior fellow level covering the multiple professional areas included in integrative work. He is subject to the UK "right touch" regulatory system through his registration with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) under hypnotherapy. The CNHC is a voluntary regulator in it's own right and was set up with Government & NHS support, and also holds a Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register (right touch regulation).

Denise is not currently client facing, instead having a support role. Her main career is currently working with young children in a Kindergarten setting. She has degrees in Social Studies (BA Hons) and Open Studies (BSc) as well as a HNC Childcare Practice award and Certification as both a Psychotherapist and as a Clinical Family Trauma Specialist. She is a Full Practitioner member of the NACHP and a CNHC registered Hypnotherapist. She is listed on the CNHC PSA AR (Hypnotherapy) and the SSSC Childcare Practice register.
