The Parents’ Association is the structure through which the parents/guardians in our school work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parents’ Association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership of home and school.
All parents of pupils in our school are members of the Parents’ Association. Each year the Parents’ Association holds its AGM and elects a committee who manage the responsibilities of the Parents’ Association on behalf of all the parents.

Organising Fund Raising Events for the school
In October, the PA organised a fund raising “Witchy Walk”. For this, the pupils were brought around the village estates where the route was decorated with Halloween decorations and parents and locals dressed up to give them a friendly scare. There was also a “Guess the number of sweets in the jar” competition held in the school which the pupils enjoyed trying to win the jar of sweets.
December was a busy month for the PA as an unbelievable effort was put in by the committee to organise a bumper raffle with some amazing prizes donated by local businesses. The PA also organised a tea/coffee reception in the school after the school’s Christmas Nativity in the Church. A special thank you must be extended to the parents who supported the PA in running the event. The raffle draw was also held at the reception and the pupils put on a great show for all with some carol singing on the day. The school also had a visit from Santa who brought some much-appreciated gifts for the pupils. December also saw the PA’s annual Christmas Card event where the pupils were asked to design their own Christmas cards, which the parents could purchase in packs.
In the new year, funds raised before Christmas allowed for a mobile Pet Farm to visit the school
where the pupils got to see and hold many different types of animals. A great day was had by all
judging by the photos shared on the PTA’s social pages and from reports from the parents.
Again, due to the generous donations from the pupils’ families for our fundraisers, the PA was able to
host an Easter egg hunt event towards the end of March. Again, this was a huge success and helped
form great memories for the pupils.
Funds raised also contributed to the purchase of new sports equipment for the school.
The PA’s last event of the year was a fun day where a disco and fun outdoor games were held for the
pupils. Again, a huge thank you needs to go out to the all the extra parents who gave up their time
support the PA and run the games.
