By adding wireless access points to buses with our partnered schools, we are able to provide students in areas without internet access a way to get connected. By placing these access points in our buses we create a mobile WiFi hotspot that can travel to meet the demands of our communities. Watch the video below to learn more about this project.
Hundreds of class of 2020 graduates were accessed for career aptitude at the beginning of 2020. COVID disrupted the effort and many individuals did not receive career coaching. Career coaching helps an individual interpret their results, conduct personal reflection and to develop a career plan that involves a training and education plan. Virtual career coaching is available for Class of 2020 graduates.
Finding a meaningful career path that pays a living wage or higher positions an individual for independence and overall wellness. It also positions the region for long term sustainability as individuals graduate from high school with a path forward that allows them to remain in the region. To aid students, young adults and others seeking a new career direction on this journey, GRIT is launching career clubs for the 2020-21 school year.
