Welcome to 5th Grade! I’m your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am looking forward to our year together and I know that it will be full of great experiences and amazing learning. Yes, for now, we are committed to online, distance learning and that is going to feel a bit different. Soon, however, we will be back together in a classroom setting.
This is my seventh year at Centennial and my 17th year teaching. Before moving back to Oregon in 2010 (I grew up in Klamath Falls), I taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades for ten years in San Diego. I graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and received my Master’s degree and Teacher Credential from National University in San Diego, California.
I also attended Stockholm University in Sweden and have had the opportunity to travel throughout much of Europe, Australia and parts of Central and South America. When not at Centennial, I spend time with my family and friends, hiking, being knee-deep in dirt in my garden or busy with my hobby of raising exotic birds.
I truly feel that the education of your child is a partnership between you and me; therefore, I am always here if you have questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Scott Golden
