The main focus of this course is to learn about the main events in the United States history, the US constitution, and also many historical and current facts about North and South America.  Students continue acquiring the English language through a variety of exploring activities. The course is taught in English with the support of the students’ native language and is aligned to the Nebraska Social Studies Standards. The main goal is  to build a solid foundation in social studies before entering a more traditional ELL program or mainstream classroom.
