SAT, PSAT--Tuesday, April 9, 2019

Tuesday, April 9, All Juniors are taking the SAT on the TVHS campus. See how you stack up on this nationally-standardized test. The SAT test is mandatory and free for TVHS juniors, so why not try to pop a great score.

Also, same day, Tuesday, April 9, Sophomores who opt in are taking the PSAT on the TVHS campus. Sign up in the front office with Ms. Montano.

HAWK FLY-IN, An introduction to TVHS to prospective incoming 9th graders from area middle schools

Date: Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Time: 5:45 p.m., for Band, Cheer and Pom Performance, Seating; Program Commences at 6 p.m.

Location: MPR

Event includes checking out the current student-run clubs and sports, hearing from a current freshman about her experiences, hearing our marching band's sharps and flats and getting in the spirit with the Cheer Team and Pom Line.

You'll hear a welcome from our Principal, Mr. A.J. Malis. You'll meet our current students and check out the JTED offerings. This is a fun night where we bring out all the stops to show off our school.

Come listen to current student Chris Altizer talk about applying to college, financial aid opportunities and the overall college experience at Harvard. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. All students grades 9-12 are welcome.

U.S. Naval Academy--Midshipman, 2nd Class, Maddie Arbogast

On Campus, Tuesday, November 20, 11:30 to Noon, Library

Our representative from the United States Naval Academy (USNA) will be here to explain the application process to parents and students. Admission to Annapolis requires a true vetting process and is ultimately worth close to $300K in free education.

PSAT Testing

PSAT testing will be held at TVHS on October 13, 2018 at 8:00am. Registration information will be given to the students in early September.

Senior Parent Night:

Please join us for Senior Parent Night on August 14th from 6:00-7:30pm in the Tanque Verde Library. We will discuss the following information:

~ Post-high school opportunities

~ College applications & timelines

~ SAT/ACT testing

~ Financial Aid/FAFSA

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions of our representatives from the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Pima, and the military. Students are encouraged to attend.
