What is NJHS®?

Overview

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)® was created in 1929 and selects new members based on the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character. NJHS® membership is an opportunity to develop the habits and standards important to success in high school, college, and a career. Think of it as making yourself #futuready

Our school's chapter of the National Junior Honor Society® was created in the Spring of 2020. Since then, we have inducted 105 students. As a chapter, we have organized events such as the food drive, clothing drive, and toy drive. We look forward to other ways we can give back to our school community and local community.

Our chapter is student run. We have elections for the roles of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and service project coordinator which will be held before the end of the school year. The students help brainstorm and plan service projects throughout the year.

What Does NJHS® Do Nationally?

Chapters Around the U.S.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)® elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.

NJHS® chapters operate in all 50 states and schools around the world, engaging and serving more than one million students. Each year, the average NJHS® chapter contributes:
