Free Summer Meals Start on June 29th

Even when school is out, you can still enjoy breakfast and lunch! Our 2026 Free Summer Meals Program is here for you all across New York City, and it's totally free for anyone who's 18 years old or younger. You can find these meals at specific places like select NYC Public Schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries. And guess what? You don't need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals. Just head to one of our spots and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Have a great summer filled with good food!

Summer Water Safety

When you’re around water during the hot months, it’s important to know certain water safety guidelines. The NYC Parks Department provided needed information about water & sun safety on this site.

Last Day of School - June 26th

Really? Really! The last day of school will be Friday, June 26th. 

We would like to wish everyone a safe and joy-filled summer! Be sure to keep up on your reading so you’ll be ready to start next school year on the right foot!

Juneteenth! - No School

Juneteenth is Friday, June 19th. In observance of this holiday, all NYCPS buildings will be closed.

Camera Club Showcases

The second-semester camera club would like to invite you to their gallery show on Monday, June 8th and Thursday, June 11th. On the 2nd floor of the Upper School, you’ll find an array of beautiful pictures from this batch of talented 5th graders. Light refreshments will be provided.

Two Days Off in a Row - June 4th & 5th

This 4-day weekend for students is brought to you by Chancellor's Conference Day on Thursday, June 4th and Clerical Day on Friday, June 5th.

Lupus Awareness - May 8th

This year, the observance of Lupus Awareness Day will be on Friday, May 8th. For this, P.S. 130 encourages all students, staff, and our community to show your school spirit by wearing PURPLE. Memorial Day - No School on 5/25

In honor of all of our fallen veterans, all New York City Public Schools buildings will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

We’d like to thank all of those who made that sacrifice for our country.

Eid al-Adha - No School on 5/27

All NYC Public Schools will be closed on 5/27/2026 to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

Earth Day – Wear Blue or Green on 4/22

Earth Day is every April 22nd. It’s an important holiday that celebrates the planet we call home and ways we can help. At P.S. 130, it’s a School Spirit Day in which we ask students, staff, and families to dress in BLUE or GREEN.
