Teaching Guides from ComicsPlus by Library Pass

We were awarded a year-long mini-grant from ComicPlus, providing our school free, simultaneous use access of Manga, Comic, and Graphic Novel titles. These include both fiction and non-fiction titles, covering a variety of topics such as math, science, and social studies. The simultaneous-use format means that your whole class could read the same title at once. There are never any wait times, all titles are available 24/7. Access extends through October 2021, making these titles ideal for summer reading recommendations.

Below is a link to teaching guides provided by ComicsPlus, highlighting was to use different graphic titles with your students.

3 Apples Book Award

Earlier in the fall, students from around the city submitted the Title of their favorite books for consideration for this award. The list of nominees was recently released, with 13 titles in three grade-range categories. If you are interested in sharing any of these titles with your students, I will continue to post read alouds and links to where the students cab borrow the titles. Students can read from November to March and then cast their vote for their favorite title in April.
