eBook Sites

Use Sora, ComicsPlus Library Pass, and MackinVIA to access eBooks and audiobooks. Use your DOE Schools Login (your username and password) to log in to these sites.

If you do not know your DOE Schools Login, click here . If you know your Username but need to reset your student password, click here.

Use the Sora app to access free eBooks and audiobooks from the NYCDOE. You can also link your Public Library card(s) to Sora and borrow eBooks from their collections! (If you want to apply for a public library ecard, click here.)

Use the MackinVIA eReader site to borrow eBooks and audiobooks, including recent fiction and graphic novels, non-fiction books, and databases such as ComicsPlus.

Use our school's direct link to access Library Pass' ComicsPlus collection of over 20,000 Manga, Comics, and Graphic Novels. Read anytime, anywhere! Access is easy, by signing in with your Google account and using your DOE email and password (click here for directions).

You can also access ComicsPlus as a database in MackinVIA. Once you have logged into your MackinVIA account (using your DOE Username and Password), click on Databases, and choose the ComicsPlus database. Click here for more detailed instructions.

The New York City School Library System created the LGBTQ Picture Book Collection to share with students. This collection of more than 50 titles highlights topics of inclusion and diversity.

Click here to view this picture book collection. To open a book, click on the cover image and you will be brought to a MackinVIA login page, where you can enter the following information for access:

Password: book123

Use Destiny Discover to look at our school library collection of both physical books (from the school library building) and eBooks (which can be read online).

To access Destiny Discover use your DOE Username (without @nycstudents.net) and Password. Click here for instructions on how to borrow books.

If you are remoted student and would like to borrow physical books, you can look through the Destiny Discover library catalog to find books you are interested in reading. Then send me an email to let me know which books you are interested in borrowing. I will reply to set up a time at the end of the school day when you can come to pick up a selection of borrowed library books.
