a. All students enrolled in the Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PRHYLI) Saturday Program are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the program's goals and objectives.

2. Teamwork:
a. Teamwork is a fundamental value of the PRHYLI Saturday Program. Students are encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, and support each other in a spirit of unity.
b. Group activities will be a significant part of the program, fostering cooperation and interpersonal skills.
3. Respect for Others:
a. Respect for fellow students, program staff, guest speakers, and any visitors is non-negotiable. All interactions should be conducted with courtesy and consideration.
b. Embracing diversity and creating a friendly place for everyone is an important part of the program's values.
4. Communication:
a. Effective communication is vital for the success of the program. Students are encouraged to express themselves clearly and respectfully, both within their teams and in interactions with program staff.
b. Constructive feedback is welcome, and conflicts should be addressed through open and respectful dialogue.
5. Punctuality:
a. Please arrive at 8:30am. Students are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled program activities. Punctuality demonstrates a commitment to the program and ensures the smooth running of activities.
b. Late arrivals disrupt the learning environment and should be avoided.
6. Program Materials and Resources:
a. All program materials, resources, and equipment should be treated with care and respect.
b. Students are responsible for returning borrowed items promptly and in the same condition they were received.
7. Professionalism:
a. You are a leader! Professional behavior is expected at all times. This includes appropriate attire and conduct during program hours.
b. Students should view PR/HYLI as an opportunity to develop professional skills that will benefit them in their future endeavors.
8. Confidentiality:
a. Discussions and information shared during the program should be treated with confidentiality. Respecting the privacy of others contributes to a trusting and supportive atmosphere.
9. Use of Facilities and Resources:
a. Students are responsible for the proper use and care of all facilities, equipment, supplies and resources provided by and for the program.
b. Any damage or misuse of program and school property must be reported to the program supervisor immediately.
c. Please make sure to leave the site as clean as when you arrived. Clean up after yourself and help keep the space tidy for everyone. Respecting the space shows responsibility and ensures that everyone can enjoy a clean environment.
10. Emergency Procedures:
a. Students must familiarize themselves with emergency procedures, including evacuation routes and assembly points.
b. In case of any emergency, students must follow the instructions provided by program supervisor and staff.
11. Dress Code:
a. Students are expected to adhere to a modest and appropriate dress code during program hours.
b. Any special dress requirements for specific events or activities will be communicated in advance.
12. Communication:
a. Regular communication between parents, guardians, and program staff is encouraged.
b. Important updates, announcements, and information will be communicated through official channels, and it is the responsibility of students and parents to check their email, voicemail and stay informed.
13. Compliance and Consequences:
a. Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in disciplinary actions according to NYC Public Schools Chancellor's Regulations and school policy and may result in expulsion of the program, including but not limited to warnings, probation, or dismissal from the program
By participating in the Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute Saturday Program, students affirm their understanding of and commitment to these rules and regulations. The program reserves the right to enforce consequences for non-compliance, which may include warnings, or dismissal from the program. The goal is to create a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
