ISTE STANDARDS FOR STUDENTS
Units of Instruction Aligned with Standards
1. Empowered Learner
Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving, and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences.
2. Digital Citizen
Students recognize the rights, responsibilities, and opportunities of living, learning, and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal, and ethical.

Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

These are the topics we will cover this year. They are in sequence, but the order may change as the needs of the classroom teachers change. Some topics will require more time than others. My goal is to align computer lab instruction with classroom needs.

Instructional Materials and Resources/ Required Texts:
Smart Board, teacher laptop, internet access for a variety of educational websites, desktop computer, laptop or iPad, access to Google Classroom, access to Google Apps, old desktops, cables and connectors (for hardware lessons)

Evaluation of Student Progress:
Students will be assessed by teacher observation, oral questioning, and project completion as skills increase. Students will also be assessed occasionally using Kahoot! an online quiz tool.
