Portraits
Please read before proceeding:
How much are senior portrait appointments?
Your initial appointment is free
Retakes are $15.00
Makeups are free as this means you have not previously been photographed for a senior portrait.
How do I pay for my appointment?
Cash, money order and checks made out to Continental Studios are acceptable forms of payment.
Payments are given directly to Continental Studios at the time of your appointment. Midwood faculty members DO NOT accept payments for senior portraits.

Please wear a shirt without a collar for use under the gown.
What if I do not want to take my portrait during my junior year?
You may wait until your senior year. There is nothing to do on your end. Portraits will be scheduled your senior year as well. The ongoing pandemic may impact the school's ability to provide an in school portrait sessions.
Appointments
Refer to the "Portraits" page for all COVID-19 related changes.
How do I access my photos?
At the time of your appointment, you will be given an access code to view your portraits.
You will also receive an email with a direct link (no access code needed) to your senior portraits. Check the email you gave to the studio. Consider checking your spam folder.
It is best to select your yearbook pose ASAP once you receive the code and/or email unless you plan on retaking it.

You may show up for your scheduled appointment despite not having your appointment card.
Will I be able to view photos from a previous appointment?
When you retake senior portraits, you will still have access to the photos from your previous appointment.
Yearbook Poses
Please read before proceeding: It is not any student's job to share with or send their selected yearbook pose to the yearbook advisor. There is a process. The portraits go from Continental Studios to Walsworth, our yearbook publisher, to Midwood High School's yearbook advisor.
Can I select a yearbook pose without buying a package?
If you are not ready or do not plan on buying a photo package, you can still select a yearbook pose.
I did not select a yearbook pose, what do I do?
If you do not select a yearbook pose, the studio will select one for you. You may not be able to change it.
I would like to change my yearbook pose, what do I do?
Refer to the access code given to you at the time of your appointment to view your portraits and change your yearbook pose.
Refer to the email sent to you from Continental Studios with a direct link (no access code needed) to your senior portraits to view your portraits and change your yearbook pose.
If none of the above works or you are experiencing any difficulty, contact the studio directly: Continental Studios Phone: (718) 268-2870

Camera Shy
Please read before proceeding: Camera shy means your senior portrait will not be included in the yearbook and your name will be listed under camera shy. This does not mean that you do not want to take a senior portrait or other photos of you will not appear in the yearbook.
I would like to appear as “Camera Shy,” what do I do?
Effective June 2021, all camera shy requests must come from a parent or guardian. To submit a camera shy request, a parent or guardian must send one email to kdarius3@schools.nyc.gov and your child's counselor. This request cannot be sent from a student's email address.
The email must include the following:
Senior's full name
OSIS number (A 9-digit on students' Midwood id card)
The best number to contact the parent or guardian
Camera shy requests can only be made during your senior year.
