The SUNY application is accepted by 54 of the 64 State University campuses. While there is no strict deadline for freshman applicants, we recommend by December 1st to maximize opportunities for financial aid eligibility, campus housing, and major of choice. Some colleges and/or programs may also have specific deadline dates. Some schools also offer Early Action admission. Deadlines are included.

EOP provides access, academic support and financial aid to students who show promise for succeeding in college but who may not have otherwise been offered admission. Program participants receive a variety of academic support services and modest financial support to alleviate non-tuition costs (e.g. books, supplies etc.) Available primarily to full-time, matriculated students, the program supports students throughout their college careers within the University.
Note: You cannot apply for both the EOP and Early Decision/Early Action programs.
There are EOP programs at 55 campuses accross New York state.
To be considered for admission to EOP, you must:
Be a NYS resident for 12 months prior to enrollment
Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent
Meet EOP academic eligibility requirements
(academic eligibility varies by campus)
Meet income eligibility guidelines established by New York State Education Department
Enroll as a full-time student
