My Video 7:                                   Ending Clip w Animated Text

1. Review Lesson Goals

SWBAT:

...use skills learned from the lesson 10 project to add animated text to end of their video  projects

2.  Add a Clip: A Background for Ending Text

1. Decide on a Background for the Ending of your Video.  Be sure to pick something that isn't too "BUSY" visually or that has negative space so you can make your TEXT EASY TO READ.  Also choose something that compliments the look of your video.

Options;

• Photograph

• Texture/Design

• Gradient/Flat Color

2. Add the asset and position it so that it's the first clip.

3. Edit the duration (but test it after you add the text and make sure the duration is not too long or too fast and that the audience can read it.)

3. Add Text Layer to Video Group 2

1. Choose an easy to read  font (no Myriad Pro) and set the point size to so it fills your canvas nicely.

2. Type in text for an ending (See examples)

Thanks for watching

Etc.

3. Show effort to make design choices. Consider color, contrast, size, alignment, styles, etc and edit your text accordingly.

4.  Animate Text

1. Refer to Page 275, step 6 for instruction on how to insert keyframes and animate your text.

2. Delete keyframes by right clicking on them if you need to.

3. Again, show effort to make design choices. Use a movement that's different than the one for BEACH DAY. You can have more than 2 keyframes.

4. Preview the animation. Make sure the text stops long enough to be read. Make changes by sliding the keyframes from left to right as needed.

5. Adjust Animation/Duration As Needed

1. Play back your animation and edit as needed.

Goals:

6. Assessment

7. Submit Your Work

8. Make Up Work if Needed
