My Video Portfolio 6: Animated Clips
1. Review Lesson Goals
SWBAT:
1...make simultaneous objects/text behave independently of each other by using video groups
2. Make a New Video Group 2 Layer
1. Click on the Video Group 2 Folder to select and create a new layer by clicking on the new layer icon at the bottom of the layers panel
3. Position Clip and Edit Clip Duration
1. Drag the new clip so that it is positioned above the clip you want to animate.
2. Edit the duration so that it matches/
4. Copy an Image
OPTION A: Copy from Video Group 1
OPTION A: Copy from Video Group 1
1. Select (Highlight) the layer in Video Group 1 you want to animate
2. Create a marching ant selection around the part you want to animate.
3. Edit > Copy

OPTION B: Copy from the Internet
1. Search for an image
2. Click past the thumbnail version
3. Right > Click Copy
5. Select (Highlight) Layer in Video Group 2
1. Make sure the new layer is highlighted in the layers panel
6. Paste into Video Group 2's New Selected Layer
1. Paste the copied selection into the new layer you created in Video Group 2
2. If you want to, you can turn off the original layer in Video Group 1 to see the results
7. Animate!
1. Animate with at least two keyframes.
2. Review the steps in the CIB book if you need to
8. Assessment
Animate at least 3 clips in your video not including your intro and ending clips
9. Submit Your Work
10. Make Up Work if Needed
Come to the Mac Lab outside of class time.

simultaneous = occurring at the same time
Animation software like Adobe Animate might just require a separate layer

Copying and pasting into a Video Group pastes into the selected layer.
Copying and Pasting into a regular layer make a new layer.
