My Video 1: File Set Up & Collect & Edit Assets
1. Review Project Goals
SWBAT:
1...create an original video
2...use their learning from the 10Beach Video assignment to edit their videos
3..use their knowledge of art elements and design principles to create unified and attractive projects.
4..practice industry standard skills to create clear and professional looking videos.
2. Review Lesson Goals
SWBAT:
1....create a correctly named folder for the My Video project
2....collect 8 appropriate images for My Video project
3....create a My Video PS file
3. Create & Name Folder
1. Create a folder on your desktop
2. Name it "My Video" followed by your last name and then your first name.
Example:
My Video Hooker Martina
4. Choose a Topic
My Video ideas
Personal Art Portfolio
Hobbies/Interests
Self Portrait
Song Lyrics Animation (Thank you Marvelyn)
Story
Etc
5. Image Requirements: Horizontal, Large, Non Art*
1. Use Large files to avoid blurry results
• 1280 x 720 is your canvas size so no smaller than that
• 4000 x 3000 is the size of the 4_Dogs file that you zoomed in to for the 10Beach Video assignment
• CHOOSE HORIZONTAL: All the images in your 10Beach Video file where Horizontal except for 7_Jumping
• MAKE HORIZONTAL image out of a vertical image
• NON-ART from INTERNET
* Use art images from the Internet only if you give credit to the artist6. Extension - Use Video
1. Use your own video clips
Be sure to have at least 8 clips in total with at least 4 of them being still images
2. Use all video clips
Do an additional video with 4 still images to fulfill the rubric requirements
Use the WTPMP3.com Website to Download video off of a website like YouTube
7. Create Your My Video File (P.271)
1. PS - File > New
2. Name your file "My Video" followed by your last name and then your first name.
Example:
My Video Hooker Martina
3. Use the same image size and settings that you used to create your Lesson 10 file.

8. Assessment
1. Show your correctly named folder with 8 or more asset files.
2. Show your correctly named and sized My Video file
9. Submit Your Work
10. Make Up Work if Needed
Come to the Mac Lab outside of class time.
