The Global History curriculum is entitled: PLATO Course Middle School World History, Semester A and Semester B.

Throughout the schools year they will be studying the

1. Early Humans

2. Early Civilizations of the Middle East and North Africa

3. India and China;

4. Later Civilizations of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

During Semester B, units of study are:

1. Classical Civilizations in Asia and the Americas

2. Classical Greece and Rome; the Early Medieval Period;

3. The Late Medieval Period (Africa, Asia, the West).

The United States curriculum is entitled: PLATO Course Advanced US History Semester A

Throughout the school year the scholars will be studying extremely important topics of United States History, Government, and Economics. Scholars will be exploring through reading primary and secondary sources of various articles on the topics listed below. Moreover, scholars will be utilizing their English Language Arts skills to create Document Based Essays, Thematic Essays, and Argumentative essays on various topics.

1. Native American Civilizations prior to European Arrival

2. Encounters between the Old World and the New World

3. Colonization

4. The American Revolution

5. The Foundation of the United States Constitution.

6. The Establishment of the New Nation.

7. Expansion of the Land

8. Division/ Sectionalism

9. Civil War

Throughout the school year the scholars will be studying extremely important topics of United States History, Government, and Economics. Scholars will be exploring through reading primary and secondary sources of various articles on the topics listed below.
