This year, Frederick Douglass Academy VIII will be utilizing Wit and Wisdom Curriculum, as well as Learning Path (created by Edmentum), and a multitude of websites and apps for additional activities to support and enhance student learning outcomes.
The Wit and Wisdom curriculum is easily accessible digitally as well as through pdf and audiobooks, and Edmentum via to clever.com.
Students are expected to read daily, have discussions about reading and write about their reading using stop and jots, organizers, and other digital mediums. They will learn to write narrative, argumentative and informative essays.
