FutureReadyNYC Summer Internship: FutureReadyNYC Summer Internship is a paid six week program in which recent high school graduates are hired as summer interns who receive experience in the classroom assisting paraprofessionals. This experience is supplemented and leveraged during a weekly professional development where interns reflect on their experience and translate it into professional deliverables, including resume, cover letter, and interview preparation. By the end of the internship, summer interns will complete all necessary workshops and requirements to work as a substitute paraprofessional. Thus, summer interns will leave the program fully prepared to work as substitute paraprofessionals when they begin college in the fall.
