BSCD’s academic program provides rigorous, culturally responsive curriculum, instruction and assessments that challenge students while meeting their diverse needs. We know our students well so that they can engage in project-based, student-centered learning that emphasizes their unique strengths and skills. Rich discussions are an essential element of BSCD classes, and are supported by an emphasis on extensive writing. In all of their classes, students are working to develop both fundamental academic skills and knowledge as well as tools and information that can be applied to 21^st century life.
