Jazmine, performing the dance piece, "Old Town Road" is part of our 5th grade dance team. This was her first year participating in dance at our school and she has developed technique and performance skills. She shared this piece as part of an end year dance project demonstrating all of the fun qualities in Country style dance.
Jazmine learned the style of Country line dancing and practiced using simple leg and foot movements. In this piece, she demonstrates the joy in this style with her bright smile! She also explored using a hat as a prop to enhance the performance.

In our school music classroom students are building cognitive and fine motor skills through instruction with the classroom instruments and and music literacy curriculum.
I want my students to develop critical thinking skills within musicianship. I also want my students to discover music and find patterns and new concepts in each lesson, while gradually building piano & violin skills.
