About Ms. Basiura 

My name is Kelli Basiura and this is my second year teaching 5th grade at St. Teresa of Calcutta School. 

I graduated from Millersville University in 2022 with a Bachelor's in Middle Level Education and concentrations in both Social Studies and ELA.

Over the summer, I love going to the shore. My family owns a beach house in New Jersey and I have been going there every summer since I was young. I love reading on the beach and just being outside listening to the waves.

I love watching hockey and my favorite team is the Flyers. I also played field hockey in both middle and high school and loved it.

One of my favorite quotes from Walt Disney is:

"Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children."

As a teacher, this quote resonates with me a lot and I make it my goal to help my students enjoy learning and pass on my knowledge to them.
