RESEARCH TEMPLATE FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY
The RESEARCH TEMPLATE guides students through the research process, from topic selection to final product; it can be modified for ANY project, big or small, whatever the subject, grade-level, or final product. Accompanying resources and tools are offered as suggestions - other options might be more useful, depending on the project.
Each section includes Empire State IFC and/or Odell Education graphic organizers to support students through the process. These can be opened and annotated with Kami, and could be used by teachers for evaluation / assessment, or by students in the creation of their final product.
Information on databases and other eResources, as well as plagiarism and citation is provided, along with a variety of video and print how-tos and examples.
A note on the relevant State Standards for research and writing is included.
