Joining protests, strikes, boycotts, or even lobbying can significantly help to make a change. If you wish to improve the lives of immigrant communities, you must act now.
There are already countless organizations and people working against I.C.E. You can join them, tell your story, and help advocate for immigrants by using your voice.
One way for people in power to learn more about your cause and possibly even be impactful and help to make a change is through lobbying. You can professionally email, call, write to, or even speak to (in-person) a legislator in your area. Even if they are already in support of your cause, the more voices and perspectives they hear, the more they'll care. If they're not in support, you may be able to teach them something new or help them see a new perspective that could influence them to make a change.
Keystone Indivisible and Resist 47 (within the Indivisible program) are both local groups that protest against right wing agendas, specifically I.C.E. Keystone Indivisible is the one designated for State College and Resist 47 is the one more central for Clearfield County and Phillipsburg where Moshannon Valley Processing Center is located. They have groups all over the U.S., so no matter which state you're in, you can join the protest.
