My name is Catherine Acres and I have been at Hyde Park since the school opened. I have been teaching for over 20 years and most of that time has been in Kindergarten. I love teaching Kindergarten and I look forward to seeing each student every day!

I believe the classroom environment should be a fun, hands-on, safe place where children sing, dance, and learn in engaging ways. I hope to teach my students to be confident, how to be kind to others, and to love learning. In my classroom, I want my students to feel free to explore, be themselves, try new things, and get excited about their learning journey.

I look forward to meeting my new students and their families. We will have a great partnership (home and school) where your child will grow and blossom over the school year.

My name is Cheryl Jacques and I have been a Designated Early Childhood Educator with the Simcoe County District School Board since the inception of the Full Day Kindergarten Program. I love working in FDK and it is very rewarding to see the growth and development of the kindies over this 2 year program and working with families together to support and nurture their child In my spare time, I enjoy music, sports and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Mrs. Galle and I am a Designated Early Childhood Educator here at Hyde Park Public School. I have been with the Simcoe County District School board for 10 years. I was lucky enough to be one of the first DECE’s chosen for the Full Day Kindergarten Program. Prior to that I worked at a Montessori school.

I am so excited to meet all of the new faces coming to school in the fall. My mission as part of the kindergarten team is to promote a love of learning through play, discovery and exploration.

Kindergarten provides the foundation for future development, providing a strong base for lifelong learning and learning abilities, including cognitive and social development.

Hello Kindie Families!

My name is Lindsay Klassen and I am a Kindergarten Teacher at Hyde Park. Most of my years teaching have been with students ages 4-8 and just between us… Kindergarten is MY FAVOURITE! The world of Kindergarten is such a special place and I love that we will get to experience, explore and learn together this year! I live in Barrie with my husband and 4 year old son Waylin and some of our favourite things to do together are exploring outside, swimming at the cottage, traveling and having dance parties!

My name is Ms. Sinkic and I am a Designated Early Childhood Educator here at Hyde Park Public school. I have been at Hyde Park since the first year it opened seven years ago. I have worked at the Simcoe County District School Board for 9 Years. Prior to that I had been working in a childcare setting.

In kindergarten we work in a partnership made up of two educators. Two educators work closely together to create a fun, safe and creative learning environment for your child to learn, grow and build a strong foundation in their learning journey. I cannot wait to meet you and your families and start our learning journey together.

Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Tiffany Trott and I've been teaching Kindergarten to grade 8 for over nine years with SCDSB, with most of those years spent primarily in kindergarten. I've also taught kindergarten overseas in South Korea. Kindergarten has always held a special place in my heart. So much to explore, new friends to make and so much to learn!
