GBSSA SWIMMING

Welcome to the GBSSA Swimming webpage.

Every year GBSSA Swimming is hosted in early December to qualify schools and swimmers for OFSAA Swimming which typically takes place in early March. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be hosting in February.

Most schools in our region start their season in October to give a couple of months preparation for GBSSA Swimming Championships and to give their swimmers an opportunity to swim in a variety of invitational meets hosted by other high schools and universities throughout Ontario. Of course, finding invitationals is difficult this year so it is encouraged that each team run their own intrasquad time trial or join up with one or  two other teams to run time trials. It's important that swimmers get a race-like experience BEFORE  GBs. We also need up-to-date times on your swimmers for entries for GBs.
