Starting in Grade 10, students have the option to sign up for Enriched Math Courses. These courses are designed to cover the curriculum for that particular grade, and in addition, some material from the following years courses. Students will also complete enrichment activities and write University of Waterloo Math Contests.
The enriched student
- Is highly motivated / good work ethic
- Likes to solve problems / puzzles
- Enjoys a challenge (like Math Contests offered by the University of Waterloo)
- Works well with others
Students in the Enriched Program will study topics which extend from the course curriculum, including topics that are at a university level and will participate in the Waterloo Math Competitions & Contests. Many students will go onto study Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine and Pure Mathematics. Students who are successful in the program will have experienced a vigorous, in-depth, challenging program and will have the potential of becoming the strongest Math students.
Students planning to take calculus at University may be interested in taking AP Calculus. This program allows students to experience material that would normally be taught in first year university at the high school level. Topics Include:

Applications of Integration
Differential Equations
Students have the option of completing the AP Calculus exam in May.
