Each week, we will read a story from the textbook (Wonders) or a chapter book. We will learn a reading comprehension strategy, a reading skill, eight vocabulary words, and a vocabulary strategy. There will be a vocabulary test at the end of the week.

We will set reading goals by taking a STAR test at the beginning of each quarter. These goals are a point goal. After reading a book, students take an AR quiz. The better they do on the quiz, the more points they will earn towards their goal. If we switch to online learning, students will be able to take quizzes at home.
