FINDING A BOOK 📚

To find a book at the Mission Hill Library you can visit us before school, at lunch, and after school. You can also search for a book in our online system any time and any day of the week.  Our library contains fiction, non-fiction, short story collections, and reference books.  Fiction books include subgenres such as mystery, science fiction, fantasy, animal fiction, humorous fiction, historical fiction, sports fiction, realistic fiction, adventure fiction, and graphic novels.  Nonfiction books include biographies, history, poetry, science, folk tales, and social issues.

To check out a book, all you need is your 5 digit student ID#. You can then check out two books for up to three weeks, and renew one time by visiting us in the library or online.

JUST RIGHT FOR YOU 🎯

At the Mission Hill library, we encourage students to find books they enjoy reading that support reading growth.  To help students identify books that are just right for their reading level, 3xs a year a school-wide reading diagnostic is administered.  Shortly after, students receive their reading level in the form of a lexile number.  This then allows students to select books they are interested in reading at a reading level that is not too hard, and not too easy. Just right. For more information about Lexile levels, click on the button below.
