The orchestra program at Garrison School for the Arts helps fulfill the school’s vision to engage learners, nurture creativity, and build community. Students study diverse classical and modern literature and composers, as well as the theory of music. Students are encouraged to be creators through music composition and improvisation thus growing them into a well- rounded musician.
The program begins in 4th grade and ends in 8th grade. Students are given a choice to major in either of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
